Thunder & Hail Storm Blasts Pottstown on Friday.

Pottstown was blasted with rain & hail today.  As you can see below in the pictures. (Courtesy of Roy Keeler)  Trees blown down, property damage & hail was abundant.  The initial storm lasted for about 30 minutes.  Right in front of our office on Hanover Street there were large swirls of air, branches & leaves.

Public Notice! Attention Parents!

Later Sundown Times Do Not Change Curfew Times! Ordinance No. 1752 places a curfew on minors under the age of eighteen (18). Sunday through Thursday minors must observe the curfew from 9:30 P.M. to 5:00 A.M. and on Friday and Saturday from 11:00 P.M. to 5:00 A.M.

It is unlawful for any minor to be or remain in or upon any public highway, street, road, alley, park or other public place or in any enclosure or vehicle which is on or in close proximity to any such street, road, alley, highway, park or other public place within the Borough of Pottstown.

This does not apply to minors with parents and guardians, minors with statements of why they are out, such as for reasons of returning from work, church, school and recreational activities and also for emergency errands.
