An updated version of the state’s Health and Human Services Resource Guide is now online at www.health.state.pa.us under the quick links tab, Governor Edward G. Rendell said today.

The guide summarizes information about available services and resources for all Pennsylvanians and provides contact information for more than 100 state programs.

“We remain committed to streamlining information about state programs and making our services easy for all residents to access,” said Governor Rendell. “We hope this updated all-in-one guide helps Pennsylvanians, in all 67 counties, be healthy and live life to the fullest.”

Residents can find information about available services such as childcare options, immunization programs, medical assistance, obesity prevention and wellness, and the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program, or LIHEAP.

The guide was first released in 2006 and mailed to nearly one million low-income households throughout the state. The updated guide is available online for download.

Pennsylvanians can also find information about the state’s social services at www.COMPASS.state.pa.us or by calling 1-800-986-2229.
