A group of 345 bicyclists will spend two days riding portions of Montgomery County’s recreational trail system starting Sunday as part of the Rails-To-Trails Conservancy’s 2010 Greenway Sojourn.
The group’s 350-mile ride begins Sunday, July 17th in Camden and will use Montgomery County’s portion of the Schuylkill River Trail to get to the John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove, one of the County’s premier historic sites, where they will camp for the night.
The group will ride the Perkiomen Trail from there on Monday, July 18th, to Montgomery County’s Green Lane Park, where they will break for lunch and a rest before heading south to Pottstown.
All told, the bicyclists will traverse 40 miles of Montgomery County’s recreational trails system.
