Local Sports Story to become a Movie

A new book to be released only in the Tri- State area has already generated significant interest from the motion picture industry. The film “Baton” is based on the novel entitled “Toujours Amis” scheduled to be in local bookstores on May 1, 2010.

Philadelphia has been known to embrace a great sports story and “Toujours Amis” is that plus a saga of enduring friendship, love, and international suspense which touches your heart and uplifts your spirit.

A star Philadelphia Quaker athlete sees his pacifist, non-prejudicial upbringing come at odds with the world around him, from Philadelphia and South Jersey through an astounding journey that expands to encompass the entire globe.

“Toujours Amis” is an official sponsor of the 2010 Penn Relays at Franklin Field, April 22-25, 2010. Both the opening and closing chapters take place almost a half a century apart at the Penn Relays while taking the reader on a remarkable “run” through a most interesting and intriguing story.
