Keystone Mercy Health Plan and The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Reach Agreement

The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Keystone Mercy Health Plan today announced that they have reached an agreement on the terms of a new, three year contract. Under the agreement, Keystone Mercy members will be able to continue using Children’s Hospital and its providers through June 30, 2013. The contract is effective July 1, 2010.

“We are delighted to extend the relationship with Keystone Mercy Health Plan,” said Madeline Bell, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. “This agreement provides children and families continued access to expert clinical care at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and throughout the CHOP Care Network.”

“The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is one of the premier pediatric facilities in the nation and we are pleased to have reached this agreement and continue our long-standing relationship,” said Jay Feldstein, DO, Corporate Chief Medical Officer and Interim Regional President, Northeast, which includes Keystone Mercy Health Plan. “Through this agreement, the families and children we serve will continue to have access to the state-of-the-art care provided by Children’s Hospital.”
