Fire in Pottstown on Logan Street

Around approximately 5:00 p.m on Wednesday, there was a call put in for a fire on Logan St. Fire fighters and ambulance alike were on the scene in minutes.
The fire was a small one located in the basement of a house in the 800 block of Logan St.
A witness on the scene said that the family smelled smoke and followed the smell down to basement where sure enough there was a small fire caused from their dryer.
Thankfully everyone was able to exit the home and the fire was extinguished before any injury or severe damage could occur.
